Maine Lobsters had a little price relief this week. They are still reporting lower catch amounts than anticipated which is keeping the price higher this summer. I would have thought by now that they would be cheaper then they are. They 2 smallest sizes are $0.50/lb cheaper this week.
Wild salmon is in fully production now. Sockeye have about 6 more weeks of the season left. We were able to get in some wild Steelhead trout from Oregon this week. It looks like salmon but is slightly milder with the same health benefits as wild salmon. If you want to fire up the grill this weekend you can’t go wrong with either one.
There is a closure for Blue crab fishing coming up on August 10th-19th. We have found a good source of crabs coming from outside the area that will be closed so we don’t anticipate any interruption is blue crab supply.
